This spare part is used to adjust the weight resistance in the tilt mechanism for several HÅG models. Even though the chair is 20-30 years old, this is still the part that needs to be used.

Most people discover that the damper needs to be replaced because the rubber has become so brittle that it crumbles.

The damper is located behind the knob under the seat. The knob is the one that adjusts the weight resistance.

They have been made in several variations. At one point, they were red. So if you can't recognize the item in the picture due to the color, that could be the explanation.

If you choose installation, we will come and replace it for you. If you have some tools and motivation, you can replace it yourself.

Installation: Note that this part has been used for a period of about 40 years. So there are several versions of the knob/hand screw.

To get to the nut, you need to remove the plastic cap. This can be done by pressing a small screwdriver down and tilting it up.

Unscrew the nut. It can be difficult to remove, as it is designed to rotate along with the hand screw if it is tightened too hard.

If you find that the whole bolt turns with it, you will need to remove the seat so that you can hold the bolt on the opposite side of the seat housing. Once you have taken everything apart, it's just a matter of putting it back together.

It can be a bit challenging to describe this item, but it could be a rubber spring for the tilt mechanism, a rubber stopper, a rubber tensioner, or something entirely different.
